Privatisation? Ha!

We really need to understand the appalling gutting of our railways that started with the 1950s deregulation of the trucking industry.

The sell-off to the Fay Richwhite consortium and subsequent financial manoeuvres really screwed us over.

Id guess it comes down to what their donors want, this appears to be a knee jerk reaction to attack the board and install their own puppets. National have always had an intense hate for rail

Yes- but they are very dangerous for all that.

Buffoonery & lies has worked well for Trump.

He & our government have a lot in common= Atlas Network.

The use of “Urgency”, “Fast Track”, & creation of Seymour’s “Ministry of Regulation” allowing him to change or wipe past, present & future regulations & laws, protecting the environment, Treaty & human rights, our health, safety & wellbeing, is very scary.

For those who don’t know about Atlas, this is a good introduction- from Monbiot.

A crash programme of massive cuts; demolishing public services; privatising public assets; centralising political power; sacking civil servants; sweeping away constraints on corporations and oligarchs; destroying regulations that protect workers, vulnerable people and the living world; supporting landlords against tenants; criminalising peaceful protest; restricting the right to strike = #AtlasNetwork

Thanks for the link Sue. Actually, I was/am aware of Atlas Network, but Monbiot's explanation makes it succinct, so clearer to understand. Sadly, and disastrously, I think we must prepare for El Trumpo's return to the White House, which will have the effect of reinvigorating our own Trumpist Trolls.
