During the 2023 campaign Luxon said:
"Asset sales are not something we're focused on and not interested in."
When asked by a reporter yesterday
"Are you at all open to the idea of privatising KiwiRail?"
Luxon said :
"What I'm really focused on is making sure KiwiRail becomes a very high-performing organisation."
Is that a NO a MAYBE or a YES?

We really need to understand the appalling gutting of our railways that started with the 1950s deregulation of the trucking industry.
The sell-off to the Fay Richwhite consortium and subsequent financial manoeuvres really screwed us over.
