Excellent, Bryan. Thank you for this interview. I like your analysis. And I think we both agree that Constantine and his cronies in the 4th century have a lot to answer for, having taken the Jesus movement that was based on compassion, empathy and justice, and twisted it into a tool of empire.

The world is a weird place. And humans are crazy!

Perhaps not, but it does seem that there are no limits to what we can get ourselves to believe. The Abrahamic religions in particular have, at various times done massive damage to people, especially women.

Perhaps it might not be a bad thing if every country had a very strongly observed law stating that everyone is free to believe whatever they want to - that the moon is made of green cheese if that's what they fancy - as long as they harm no one, & don't try to make others live according to their belief system.
