Supermarkets are big in NZInitiative, Act won’t let government actions impact on corporations - therefore Nicola is just showboating with her ‘criticisms’

I thought the CoC’s were going to stop employing consultants? I’d love to know how much their consultant spend has been so far…

Agree 100% Bryan. People are not connecting the dots and the govt says whatever might appeal to the critics who raise an issue. The track luxon wanted to get back on is not one for everyone.

I’ll leave this one to Robert MacCulloch. He suggests (correctly) that Willis, “Instead of having the same Labour-style "Review Committees" and "Working Group Committees" and so be accused of being an Ardern Mark II, she's calling hers "Advisory Committees". In October 2023 she said she was "asking for advice" how to break up the Big Supermarkets. Last week, in March 2025, she made a big announcement that she'd again decided to "ask for advice" how to break them up. Advice like the type she wants gets you nowhere. You have to have your own plan. You’re 100% correct Bryan, it’s yada, yada, yada…..

Thanks, Bryan. I, too, share your weariness with the neoliberal agenda, which now feels like a giant con. It's painful to see in recent poll results how many Kiwis have drunk the Kool-Aid.

Another excellent doco Bryan - as they have all been! Thank you. Sad you continue to identify these issues again so many years later 😢

I couldn't open the soundtrack audio, its hopeless trying to contact anyone there, I go around in dizzy circles looking for assistance. Sending A direct email and again `one is referred back to the help area, with no help. I've also been trying to obtain a refund on a soundtrack as it took a double sign up rather than a 1. Sorry about that. That idea of co-operatives sounds terrific. I was thinking that providing food for one’s citizens was a prime reason for government and it should take the supermarkets over. I know.

Mmm.. that's odd Gloria . Because others can open it suggests the problem is at your end.

If the sound track appears to play but you can't hear it then it may be your output settings. Have tried downloading the podcast to your phone or computer?

mmm.. that's odd Gloria. Because others can hear it the chances are the problem is your end. Check your setting to see if your speakers are on mute , then there the old reliable turn your computer off and start it up again :)

Sometimes I have encountered problems as I use Firefox as the server. And the problem can disappear if i switch (reluctantly) to Chrome.
