In q recent National Party press release about building more houses The Prime Minister stated,
“Chris Bishop Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and RMA Reform is leading the charge on this work and going for housing growth. This policy will flood the market with land for housing".”
If the land they are eyeing is the land we need to grow our fresh food, then we need to fight them over the taking of every millimetre of it if we don’t want our children and our grandchildren eating frozen vegies from wherever is cheapest in the world.
Today’s clip is from my most recent documentary The Food Crisis in which market garden advocate Chris Claridge explains why preseerving our best arable land is so important.
Our cities need to grow up - not out.
