If Te Tiriti did not impede the plunder of our remaining resources then seymour would not be stirring up this racism, he is an evil little puppet for Atlas

Te Tiriti, from day one, was deliberately vague on the issue of kawanatanga, rangatiritanga and sovereignty. Hobson knew that Maori would never knowingly cede rangatiritanga to the Crown and his only option was to trick Maori into believing that the queen would them to retain such ownership. Since 1840 the white man has sought to steal by fair means and foul Maoris inalienable right to te whenua. This latest act by Seymour is just one more nail in any vague residual notion that Aotearoa is a bicultural country. He knows that if he can steam roller this legislation through there will be enough ignorant racist people in, who under a knee jerk reaction to the idea of one law for all, will vote to destroy all that has been done to celebrate Maori as the rightful co-signatory to a bicultural land. It will be a very dark day should this ever come to pass

Weasel Seymour is the instrument to continue theft from indigenous people and proof that Europeans can’t be trusted when it comes down to it.

Thanks for this Bryan. Crystal clear that the reference to Te Tiriti embedded within legislation is why the right-wing are chasing this. Oh John above covered it succinctly.

...and yet within both Te Tiriti partners lies the aspiration to reimagine how we become the nourishing caring sustainable society within that 'shimmering benevolent landscape' (Charles Royal's enlivening description, 2002?) ,one which outlives this deluded intent for pirating, plundering, and disconnection.

Seymour is a dangerously cunning puppetmaster.

I wonder who he and Peters have waiting in the wings as stormtroopers? Tamaki’s thugs?
