Whilst I'm no analyst, it has occurred to me that all the other stuff such as cancer drugs, ferries, you name it, are just annoying peripheral ho-hums to this government. They are there, 'governing' pretty much entirely to increase the wealth and make life easier for their rich mates. I'm starting to really believe that. I'm worried.
I listened to Martin Sheen today explaining that politics today is not about 'right or left', rather 'right from wrong'. A concept that seems absent from much of what our government is proposing and enacting. Each and every one of us needs to decide if the vision for New Zealand in the hands of Luxon & Willis, Seymour & Van Velden, and Peters & Jones is one that is 'right or wrong' it's a no Brainer for me Bryan!
Not governing for New Zealand. Haven’t figured out that property has run its course for a while and they won’t be able to make it keep going up to serve their sponsors. Hopefully the majority will be the price they pay with consistent bad policy that deepens and lengthens the depression.
Hmm, I wonder it this Coalition Government already realise they might only be on the treasury benches for one term. That could perhaps explain the haste with which they are shortening the length of time one need own a property before it becomes liable for capital gains tax, most particularly for those MPs who have bought second properties around Wellington.
I have been following TV1 on a Sunday night which has a UK chap visiting NZ’s top homes. On reflection, when watching, I think how this programme has revealed just how rich the rich are here. We don’t get to see behind the gates. It must be a real shock for some people. Last night particularly a home in Queenstown used for 6 months a year as a holiday home, Australian owners - more like a club med….

Cheers Mike Right or Wrong - I'm going to steal that !
You go for it. I’m sure you’ll reach a much wider audience than me Bryan. 😁
Except if the brainless decide right is right and left is wrong :(
I would love to hear the vision for New Zealand in the hands of Luxon & Willis, Seymour & Van Velden, and Peters & Jones. I don’t think they have one.
They do Bill. It's for a land where selfishness rules and the Devil takes the hindmost.

Agree totally Bryan. More depression for the less privileged.

As you know MPs own a lot of properties Maggie. A vested interest .
That's exactly what I was thinking, Bryan.
