It just amazes me how greedy these people are. Luxon could have paid lets say 5% on his properties sold in tax and still made 900,000 in profits so greedy. Time I feel to start really pushing for these greedies to pay more tax
Another enlightening expose, for which I'm so grateful, Bryan! Your comment that the US and the UK "certainly don’t want us voting for the UN Tax Convention", says it all (as if I couldn't guess!) on why NZ has not joined the majority of other nations that signed up the UN's effort to ensure that multinationals and the super wealthy pay their fair share of tax. As you also say, the other factor in NZ's refusal to join is our current right-wing government's adoration of money and wealth. They'd much rather crush any ambitious national welfare than impose a cent of tax on multinationals and/or the wealthy - all of whom are firm supporters of ring-wing administrations in the 8 countries you mention - Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, the UK and the USA .

Looking forward to watching, funny that this government turns down a chance to tax rich corporations…not
Slowly turning the place into an oligarchy dream.
