Sadly, I'm less than surprised by this, even though at that same time I fervently wish it were not so! This Coalition Government is determined to stamp out poverty, not by helping the poor out of poverty, but by sweeping them so far under the carpet, that the Coalition parties and their friends, colleagues and supporters never see or hear of them at all! That's what I call a "Die, why don't you!" policy!

Just thinking - a year in a child's life is a long time - time enough to do serious damage. Then if, as said, the data isn't collected or even available for the public to view, how are we going to keep up pressure on the govt to get this issue sorted?

So the plan to reduce child poverty is to make everyone get a job and off the benefit.
