The government’s recent announcement that it will allow Golden Visa holders to buy into the top end of our property market is a throwback to the days of the John Key government and its disastrous policy of allowing foreigners to buy our residential properties.
Yesterday I put up a clip from the documentary Who Owns New Zealand Now? that I made while Key was still in power. It was about why his foreign buyers policy was pushing up house prices and increasing homelessness.
So I thought today would post the complete documentary for those of you who are interested in recalling the consequences of allowing the foreign ownership of residential properties in our country, which the current National led Coalition has conveniently forgotten.
