April has a master's degree in Scriptwriting and is one of New Zealand's most licensed playwrights. Her stage comedies and dramas are produced internationally.
As an Actress April has appeared in numerous television series and films. She was part of the core cast of TV's satirical comedy "McPhail & Gadsby" for 2 years, remains a core member of acclaimed female comedy company "Hens' Teeth" and l is a founding member of the comedy theatre company "Femme Natale" which has performed all over New Zealand and in 2023 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
She has had roles in three Sir Peter Jackson films, a lead role in Alex Galvin's "Eternity" and played the role of the deranged school principal Miss King in KHF's TV comedy series "Girl Vs Boy 3".
April is also a Charity Singer and donates her time and talent to worthy causes. Her "Make A Wish" jazz album raised over $12,000 for the children's charity Make A Wish.
April’s production company GODIVA PRODUCTIONS LIMITED is named after the Lady Godiva legend of her hometown of Coventry, England.
