Fast-track Approvals Announced

Much Cause For Concern.

Yesterday Christopher Bishop (Minister of Housing, Minister for Infrastructure, Minister Responsible for RMA Reform, Minister for Sport and Recreation, Leader of the House, and Associate Minister of Finance) announced the149 projects that have been selected for fast tracking through the government's new  Fast Track Approvals Bill.

While I have not yet had time to go through the list in any detail, it is clear that some of the applications that have made the list are going to do significant environmental damage, and some projects on the list that have already been rejected by the Courts are now back on the agenda.
